Solar charge your iPod in style

My French is limited to one semester in high school and the lead in South Pacific, but from what I can gather at Vivien Muller Design that beautiful piece of art is actually a solar-powered charger for an iPod or similar device.

The Solar Cell Tree Charger, or PhotonSynthese, is constructed with branches that are made out of a series of jacks which eventually blossom into the 54 solar cell leaves, and the whole arrangement is interchangeable so that the tree can be reconstructed to better suit

your sunlight situation or your aesthetic needs.

Sure, there are other solar chargers on the market, many of which are more practical due to mobility and portability issues, but the fact is that we are quite smitten with that one. It just sings Green, doesn’t it?

I wonder how lengthy until we see one of these built to actual tree-size, something to capability the home, or lining walkways to energize lights at a park? That would be, for lack of a better word, awesome.
